As a child, the window in my bedroom would fill with ladybugs. Sometimes there were hundreds of them gathered along the glass. At the time, I didn’t question it — I only remember thinking it was magical.

Even now, years later, the sight or scent of a ladybug instantly brings me back to that feeling: the quiet wonder of childhood, a sense of being exactly where I was meant to be.
